Windows 10: Windows 7 authentication issue

I have a Windows 7 ultimate disc I bought from my university while I was a student. I installed it on an older desktop that eventually died. I still have one or two programs that won't run on Windows 11. I recently installed my copy of Windows 7 on a VM Oracle VirtualBox on my Windows 11 desktop to run these programs. However, I'm unable to authenticate Windows 7 on the VM. The install key in the disk cover doesn't work, and both online and phone authentication attempts failed.Is the reason I can't authenticate Windows 7 because of the type of dustribution I bought i.e., from a univers

Windows 7 virtual wifi authentication mode

Hello.

Just a quick question to whoever is using windows 7 virtual wifi capability - when you type in "netsh wlan show hostednetwork", cmd window displays a list of settings for your hosted virtual wifi.

I was wondering, is there a way to change authentication method from WPA2-Personal to simple WEP ?

authenticated users issue in win 7

hi, i just messed up authenticated users permissions on my my data drive (d drive) in win 7 ultimate while learning. I wanna restore it to default authenticated user permissions. i have three partitions. 1: System (win7:c), 2: Data (d), 3: Second System (win 7: e). I got two accounts: 1 default windows admin account created during installation. 2 standard user account that I created myself after. I messed up the permissions from standard user account. I was supposed to change it for user account.

At this stage I just want to know what are the default authenticated users permissions in win 7 for data drive??????????

any help would be much appreciated.
