Windows 10: windows 7 not genuine help

I am resurrecting a Toshiba c650 that has been sitting for 2 years. The unit had a hard drive that was indicating failure but fully functioning. After replacing the hard drive and cloning the old drive everything works fine except the 'windows not genuine' message keeps popping up randomly.I have the valid serial for the unit. I have tried the entering a new serial and putting the old one. It works fine It says it is validated.When I go to the system screen it says it is validated.Yet I still get randomly the message windows is not valid.I would like to upgrade this to windows 10 but I am gett

Windows 7 not genuine problem

It seems like that's an OEM windows copy, it will do that the every time you reinstall the OS. If you have the key, next time you see the "not genuine windows copy" click it and choose to activate by phone, everything else is pretty straight forward as it explains step-by-step. If it doesn't work, then its highly likely that you got a Pirate copy.

 

Want to replace my Windows 7

Hi All,

I suspect that my Windows 7 installed on my PC may not be genuine - I have taken steps to purchase a genuine version on Windows 7, and need some help to "convert" over.

I guess I need to somehow deactivate the current version of 7, and then reactivate with my genuine key. Does that sound correct, or is a different approach required? If so, can anyone offer me the best advice to do this?

Will installing Windows 10 ISO on Windows 7 (genuine) make Windows 10 genuine?

I'm having trouble with Windows servers or my Windows update. Every time download gets stuck at magic 84%. Now I am thinking of installing Windows 10 through an ISO on a Windows 7 laptop. Will installing Windows 10 with an ISO over Windows 7 (genuine) make Windows 10 genuine?
Can anyone explain me the exact steps to get that iso from installing the iso keeping the windows genuine.
