    Windows 7 not showing location sensor


    hi, i recently have installed windows 7 sp1 with all updates and in device manager location sensor is not shown..
    Also Gadgets cannot detect my location. It was working fine on my previous windows 8. when i go to location sensors through startup it says no sensors are installed. any idea please?

    Speed up your Booklet 3G the right way

    Windows 7 does provide a way to share sensor and location data across the system, using the Sensor and Location API. This would be the ideal (and standardised) way to share location data from the GPS.



    Unfortunately, this does not work on Windows 7 Starter Edition. Windows 7 not showing location sensor :(

    Booklet 3G & Win7 Location Sensor

    Has anyone else figured out if you can get Windows 7 to use the built in GPS as a location sensor, so the OS knows where you are at any given time? I see the modem and GPS items in my "ports" section of the device manager, but it doesn't show up as a sensor.
