Windows 10: Windows 7 stuck on 'update 121 of 164' when I downloaded legacy update.

Hello,I just recently upgraded from vista to 7 and I heard about this application which "automatically updates" when installed.When I updated to SP1 service pack 1, I started playing my favourite game on a CD-ROM and there was a message saying "update and shut down." So I just clicked on that then I went on it and it said " Installing update 1 of 164..." WHAT?? I just went to bed and the big sound of my computer doing "ZzzzzhhhhhhZZZZZHHHHH" and it really annoys me so I slept on the couch in my living room and it started to get stuck on the number 121 from the update. It was making noise a

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

 

Windows 7 slipstreaming with updates question

i got all the updates for Windows 7 in "Windows Updates Downloader" using the newest list from mydigitallife.info's forum which is dated 13-16-2013, but can i use all does updates in the Danish version of Windows 7 Professional SP1-U 64bit?

bcs i wanna slipstream it with a few drives into it aswell here i am talking about Intel Ethernet and NEC/ReneSAS USB3.0 Drivers.

 

Simplifying updates for Windows 7 and 8.1

Just experienced this myself. I wanted to download the update because this is a massive problem and fresh installs of Windows 7 are still in my future. I don't have a problem using IE11 but...
1. I add the download to my cart.
2. Click on basket.
3. Click on download.
4. Window pops up asking to browse for folder.
5. Click on it, UAC pops up demanding admin password. "No problem," I thought.
6. Enter admin password. Nothing happens.
7. Close window and repeat steps 3-6. Getting frustrated now.
8. Right-click and select refresh.
9. Repeat steps 4-6.
10. WTF?
11. Come to the sad realization I'll have to sign off and sign in as the admin account just to download a file.
12. Give up.

Terrible indeed. I'll have to do it eventually though. *Frown
