    Windows 7 Ultimate (64) Security updates not installing.

    I have been having problems in installing the updates that I have listed below. For each update I attempted to install them individually but they would not install. I also downloaded the SURT 6.1 KB947821 v27. The problem has been going on now for about 2 months. (whenever the issue with the updates comes to mind I am never near my pc). Thank you in advance.

    Windows 10 update from Windows 7 Ultimate

    Windows 7 Ultimate upgrade to Windows 10.

    Loaded upgrade to 94% then re-installed Windows 7 Ultimate.

    Windows Update Trouble Shooter came up with following;

    Windows Update error 0x80070057 Root Cause: RC_DataStore File Name: CheckSURLog.cab

    Anyone able to suggest remedy to enable Windows 10 upgrade to be a successful installation.

    Yes, you can upgrade from Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 10 Pro. If you don't have the SP1 update installed in Windows 7 Ultimate, then you just may not be able to keep everything when upgrading to Windows 10. You can verify before starting the actual upgrade at step 15 below, and safely close Windows 10 Setup at this step to cancel the upgrade if wanted.
