    Hello,After hours searching for solutions on Microsoft and other forums, I've only been able to remove 3 tiny .msp files with "msizap G" command from the deprecated Windows Installer CleanUp Utility 7.2 msizap seems also available in the Windows SDK but I never managed to install that stuff... : Besides seeing zounds of other users fighting with this common Windows issue with folder bloating sometimes way over 100GB!!! I could not find a decent or even indecent solution.The C: disk being a 110 GB SSD, Windows 8.1 is becoming inoperable. Any idea?Regards,Gauthier

    He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink Windows 8.1 bloated c:\windows\installer folder: over 70 GB! ;)
    Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

    Like:
    First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
    Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
    Then type this in command mode as admin
    mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

    Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.
