Windows 10: Windows 8.1 - Email, Calendar & People Contacts Not Working - States Password Changed but...

On my windows 8.1 laptop the following issue occurred suddenly 7 days ago. My desktop outlook email stopped working and my desktop calendar and peoples comes up with a pop-up message stating "Your password has been changed. Please sign in with your new password", I haven't changed my password. A critical windows update was installed about 5 days before it started so I decided to try recovering to a restore point just before the windows update and the issue started. This was successful but the issue wasn't solved. I have tried changing my microsoft password which was successful and I can still

Email contacts missing

1. If you open Mail app and click the + sign for New mail > type first couple of letters of a contact name > will a list of suggested names appear ?

2. Go to All apps > scroll to P > click People. Is the contact list there ?

To add an email to your contacts, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:-

1. Open Yahoo Mail, click on the Contacts icon.
2. Now click on a contact.
3. Click Edit Details.
4. Add email address to the contact.
5. Click Save.

If you are using Mail App and want to edit contacts stored in People App, I suggest you to refer to following article under
Edit contacts
for steps to edit the contact and add an email.

People app not syncing google contacts


I have the release Windows 10. I have successfully linked my google account, and mail and calendar seem to work fine. But not the people (contacts) app. The account is listed in People, I can tell it to sync, get no error message, but no contacts arrive. Am I missing something?
