    Microsoft states, "Windows 8.1 will reach end of support on January 10, 2023, at which point technical assistance and software updates will no longer be provided." Why won't it let me download the latest software security update? I've been trying for several weeks and it's still only January 8th!! Same Update has failed 16 times since Dec. 14th.1 important update selectedFailed: 1 updateCode 8007000D Windows Update ran into a problem.Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.6.2, 4.7, 4.7.1, 4.7.2, 4.8 for Windows 8.1 for x64 KB5021093

    Windows Essentials 2012 will reach end of support on January 10th 2017

    On a clean install of 17025.1000, Windows Essentials, (Movie Maker and Photo Gallery), installed in Windows 8 Compatibility Mode and is fully functional.
    (Most likely have to install NET Framework 3.5 offline)
