    Windows 8.1 running as a Hyper-V VM on Windows 11 24H2 Host - Secure boot problem


    I have a problem on Windows 11 24H2 with my Hyper-V host. When I install a fresh copy of Windows 8.1, I cannot turn Secure Boot on and be able to boot the VM, it can have secure boot on when I install from the ISO image, but once it's installed to the virtual hard drive, I have to disable secure boot or else I can't boot, TPM seems fine. Does the new configuration version 12.0 for Hyper-V virtual machines no longer have working secure boot on Windows 8.1 VM's?

    Hyper-V cannot run Windows 11

    It is well documented by Microsoft.

    When You Enable Hyper-V On Your Windows 8/10/11 Host Machine, The Host OS Itself Becomes A Virtual Machine Running On Top Of The Hypervisor - True?

    Is this information correct?

    Client Hyper-V in Windows 10 (altaro.com)

    Since, Hyper-V is a Type-1 Hypervisor, it has direct control and runs on top of the computer's hardware.

    When Hyper-V is enabled in a Windows 8/10/11 machine, that machine will then boot into the Hypervisor.

    The host OS is now virtualized and runs atop of Hyper-V. With the difference that this is a special VM which is able to manage and control the hypervisor.

    Remote Desktop connection to Hyper-V Android VM

    I have an Android 8 virtual machine running in Hyper-V on Windows 10. However I am unable to get sound working on the Android VM. I have tried absolutely everything I could find on google with no success. Some write ups say I must connect to the VM
    through RDP instead of Hyper-V manager. I have googled how to do that and again tried everything I could find, again with no success. Apparently I must install some kind of RD client on the Android VM. I have tried Microsoft Remote Desktop. It installs on
    the Android, but it does not run. Chrome Remote Desktop does run on the Android, but it does not connect to my host.

    So please, can anyone tell me step by step what I have to do to either get sound working on my Android 8 VM connected through the Hyper-V manager, or to connect to the Android 8 VM through RDP.
