Windows 10: windows 8.1 tablets upgrade

Been looking at some windows tablets and some of them don't come with much storage space. Some of this space is taken up with boot info and recovery partition.

Will these tablets be upgradable to win 10, is there enough space for an update or should I just wait until new win 10 tablets come out?

I currently have a Tablet running Windows 10 Technical Preview, but prior to that, I was running Windows 8.1 Home. I understand Windows 10 mobile is designed specifically for phones and tablets, but from my understanding about the upgrade, if you have Windows
8.1 Home, then the upgrade would be to Windows 10 Home. Is is possible to change the version from Home to Mobile during the Windows 10 upgrade to suit the device and potentially decrease the amount of storage required for the OS?

 

My memory is really bad ,but i think I read that 8.1 tablets are not in line for the free win10 upgrade ,but I could be wrong , ,so if my memory is correct ,I would wait till new tablets come out with win10 ,,, I'm going to google to check out my memory ,*Redface

edit- sorry my memory was bad , it was Microsoft surface RT version that was not getting the upgrade

Yes, but I forgot to say don't get one that has Windows RT. Make sure its the full windows version, otherwise you've had it
