Windows 10: Windows 8.1 to windows 10

I just purchased windows 10 and am currently trying to upgrade my 8.1 to my 10. But Even after downloading the tool to upgrade my computer to the 10, it still doesn't work. I even entered the code into the activate section in settings and its saying my code is unavailable and that it does not work. I've tried every solution but yet it doesnt work. My settings is saying I can't activate windows right now and i've tried restarting my computer multiple times already.
