    Windows 8.1 wont accept my password


    Hello. I have a Gateway laptop running Windows 8.1 Yesterday I booted up and went to log in but it wont accept my password. I did not forget my password. Nor did I change it. I have only one account on it an admin account. No reset disk no usb password reset either. No other accounts on it. I did notice the day before that it refused to download and install spyware and virus definitions in windows defender. I have tried to reset using command prompt but it wants me to sign in to confirm. Same for system restore. I do not think it uses my Microsoft login as the password is different from it. Ho
