    windows 10 : Re-install 10 from the USB stick after the free upgrade

    Thanks for the response.

    If I was to make a recovery drive on USB while 10 is installed then roll back to 8.1 can I re-install 10 from the USB stick after the free upgrade?

    windows 8.1

    MS will be doing the Win10 Upgrade for a year (for free) from this last July 29th. That includes updating Window 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 machines. What happens after that is anyone's guess.
