    Windows 8 or Windows 7 ISO and licensing


    I need to set up a VM for some medical software that requires either Windows 7 or Windows 8. I've got a couple questions that I have not been able to find answers for.Where can I get an official and safe ISO for either?Is a license still required under the EULA? I see that they are available on archive.org, but I don't know of a way to ensure it is not a modified or malicious ISO

    Nope, it use to be that way but not now as far as I can tell. Ill keep checking though. It doesnt work with an OEM key

    Confirmed, it has to be a retail license.

    I also tried my windows 8 upgrade I bought for $14 back last year. It can download the W8 ISO but not 8.1
