Windows 10: Windows 8

Discus and support Windows 8 in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; Something happened in my laptop hd and I accessed it as an external hd.     Windows 8


    Something happened in my laptop hd and I accessed it as an external hd. I have some docs that were saved on my desktop of that hd when I was using it. I can access that hd but I tried all. Just can't find those desktop folders. I went to users, public, public desktop. There are only shortcuts of the apps that I had installed but the actual folders with files in it don't show. Thanks for your time.
