    Windows absolutely will not use my GeForce graphics adapter.


    I have a Lenovo laptop and have tried to play Elite dangerous after not playing it since September when it worked fine. it now will not work and after hours of googling, talking to support for the game and trying various things I have discovered that the problem is that Windows will not use my Geforce adapter under any conditions and instead insists on using the Intel adapter. I ended up trying to roll back windows updates with completely pooched my laptop and I've ended up having to reinstall windows, which has caused me hours of work to reinstall and configure all my software.I've even tri

    Thank you for your help Andre. I've done everything you recommend:

    • I "uninstalled" NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 integrated display graphics adapter.
    • The only display adapter listed in (devmgmt.msc) device manager now is the recently installed ASUS EAH 5450 graphics card.
    • The update request on the manufacturer's web site says the display driver is the latest.
    However, I still get the message that the NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 display graphics has not been made compatible with W10.

    What do you suggest?
