    Windows Accounts on multiple computers

So full disclosure I think Windows 10 and the whole trying to force you to use a Microsoft account is crap. I left the Microsoft ecosystem a long time ago because of things like this. So I’m biased against it. Although I don’t mind Windows 7 it is mature, stable and did do weird crap randomly because it feels like it would improve my user experience.

Unfortunately I still need to use Windows for work.

Here’s the situation, my work laptop was acting up so with a hardware issue not a software one so I decided after I got it working again I’d grab an old Windows 10 laptop we had around the house and set up a user account that could access my work files just in case as I do online support and training from home. So I created a user with my Microsoft account and the first thing it did was change all the settings on the old computer to match that of the work one. Not at all what I wanted.

Some of the settings impacted all the user accounts on that laptop, again not what I wanted. Other user accounts on the laptop are used by other family members.

If I were to remove my work account from the laptop and set up a local account can I still sync files via one drive to that account with out it pushing the settings from each computer back and forth?

    Thanks

Strange Windows 10 User Account issue.

Unfortunately I had done those steps numerous reboots, it just, reappears for no good reason. The base account isn't even a Microsoft account, it's a local account.

I haven't quite tried the built in administrator account on W10, but so far in my experience on my own computer, the built in account seemed to have absolutely no more control than I did on my own.

It's just strange, I go in, it warns me twice about deleting the account, then it's gone. Reboot, and it's back?

EDIT: Just to specify, both command line and Netplwiz both say only HIS account exists on the computer, it doesn't list this rogue account. This is what I meant in my first post about the fact that even Windows doesn't seem to believe it exists, HALF the time. *Frown Windows Accounts on multiple computers :(

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:
    1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
    2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:
