Windows 10: Windows activation error, was running okay for a year

The device in question is an ex corporate laptop with the Windows 10 Enterprise installed on it. After the laptop got decommissioned. The device had all the lifetime activation of the said OS. But after a while I got a notification saying that Windows failed to activate I got the error message 0xC004F012 which is an error code for non genuine Windows, which is impossible since the laptop was previously owned by a company. After fixing corrupted files using DISM and System File checker, the problem persisted. I tried force activating with slmgr.vbs /ato command, but I got an error message which lead me to the conclusion that this is the problem. Error: 0x80070002 The system cannot find the file specified SWbemObjectEx. I am thinking of doing the following, but these are risky, I would like to re-enter my product key, or do a reinstall. But I think that there are better ways to do it. I would like to hear some advice.

Windows 10 will not activate Error code 0x803F7001

Possibly there can be the problem with Microsoft activation Server, so your Windows 10 is not activated. In this scenario, you need to wait and verify if it is the issue from Microsoft’s side. But if you are getting error code 0x803f7001, you can also try these steps:

1. Open Settings app. Then go to Update and security > Activation screen > Change product.
2. Type your Windows edition product key and click Next.
3. You’ll get We couldn’t activate Windows error message.
4. Retry steps 1-3 then type your 25-characters unique product key.
5. Wait for the process to complete, Windows 10 is activated.
