Windows 10: Windows Activation troubleshooter not working and causing watermark to show up on activated...

Version: Windows 10 pro - 21H2. I'm currently facing the issue of the watermark appearing after a few hours of my computer being turned on. "Something interrupted our troubleshooting. Make sure that you're connected to the Internet, wait a few minutes, and try again. 0x8007000d" even though I have a stable internet connection. I also noticed that the "Software Protection" service stops by itself even when manually started. I've tried: sfc /scannow as adminmanually running services and msconfig services.

The Windows activation watermark is usually appearing if the activation servers detect that a device is not activated. For further help with activating your copy of Windows 10, visit this
link. If the same issue persists after performing the troubleshooting suggestions on the link, follow these steps:

• Using Cortana, type Notepad and then click on Notepad (Desktop app).
• Type the following commands in Notepad:

    taskkill /F /IM explorer.exe
    
    explorer.exe
    
    exit

  Save the file and name it as Activation.bat.
  
• 
  Change the Save as type to All files.
  
• 
  Locate the file, right-click on it and then choose Run as Administrator.

  After running the file, restart your computer and then check if the same issue persists.

PM'd me that he had to uninstall lastest updates - one of which referred to Enterprise.

how do i get rid of the "go to settings to activate windows" watermark that has recently started to appear? i've check out the following and my system clearly appears to be activated, altho nothing shows up in step 4 and 5 shows my copy is not activated... i purchased this software about four years ago and have been using it ever since.

1. cmd > "slmgr /xpr" returns "windows(r) professional edition: the machine is permanently activated.

2. system properties shows "windows activation: windows is activated product id: my registration key".

3. productkey.vbs script shows product key.

4. cmd > "wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey" doesn't show anything.

5. activation settings shows that my edition is not activated.

EDIT - selecting "troubleshoot" in activation settings seems to have fixed the problem.
