Windows 10: Windows Activation/ Upgrade

Hey all, I had a quick question about my windows upgrade so here it is:


I bought a PC from a friend and it didnt have a genuine version of windows, it had Win 10 Home but it wasnt "activated." So i went online and bought a product key for Windows 10 Pro.


Once it was purchased I copied the product key and went to the settings page and activated/ upgraded. After it was all done it says my current version is Windows 10 Enterprise. What is that and did i do something wrong?

Activating Windows 10 after upgrade

Windows 10 will automatically be activated online and create a digital entitlement for your device.

If you still face issues with Activation after upgrading to Windows 10, suggest you to activate the Operating System through phone by following the steps below:

• Press “Windows key + R” and type “slui 4” and press Enter.
• Select the Region from the list and click Next.
• Call the Toll-Free number provided on top and can activate via phone.

or you could hack it with a crack but please note this is always risky and you don't know what's in the hack

I won't buy a key, stupid.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?
