Windows 10: WIndows activation window has reported that no product key has found

I was using windows 10 pro in my acer nitro 5 AN515-55. that was digitally licensed and was linked with my Microsoft account. Then re installed windows 10 pro downloaded from Microsoft website in my same laptop and i formatted by SSD and HDD in order to remove all the viruses and other trojans etc. but this time when window installation has competed i have got an error message "Windows reported that no product key was found on your device error code 0xc004f213". How can i retrieve my digital licensed that was linked with my Microsoft account . I have also tried to retreive key from firmware by

Windows 10 product keys and activation - and the KMS angle

Changing the product key to the generic Windows 10 product key will reset activation to the standard retail channel for activation. It might just activate (if there was a previous digital license for Windows 10 for that computer established with Microsoft). Once Windows 10 is back on the retail activation channel, then more than likely changing the product key to the Windows 8 product key using the same method may work.

 

Windows 8.1 pro + WMC key activation

This worked for me last time with a Win 8 key.

Install Windows 8.1 and enter KMS key during setup. Once in windows change product key to my Windows 8 key. Go to add features and enter my WMC add-on key. Drink a beer to a job well done.

So it will be fine installing 8.1 pro with a KMS key, then switch to my 8 pro key and it will activate ok?

Maybe a daft question but why can't you just install 8.1 pro with the 8 pro key, or is it different keys for 8 and 8.1? seems silly when 8.1 is a free update anyway.
