Windows 10: Windows activation

Two days ago I turned on my computer Windows 10 Pro to find a recurring message that said my Windows license was about to expire. I have had the computer bought new, for about five months. It came with Windows pre-installed. I have no idea why this message has suddenly started to appear and I have a legitimate Windows label with product number attached to the computer. I have tried installing this number in the activation box but am told that it is not right. Initially it says, "Windows is activated using your organisation's activation service" but if I change the product key with the one on the Windows label it then says, "We can't activate Windows on this device because you don't have a valid digital licence or product key. Select troubleshoot below. 0xc004c003 error code."


The computer was purchased from a reputable dealer and he is as bemused by it as I am. I have twenty five days grace remaining apparently.


The only odd thing I have noticed is that my old computer, which shares the same network, has suddenly got the same image on the desktop background as this one despite me never having put it there and my new computer, the one with the problem, had suddenly started calling itself by the name of my old computer and I guess this is what is causing the problem. In checking this however, I have discovered that it has now reverted to its usual name!


Both my new and old computer have legitimately purchased, pre-installed copies of Windows, though different versions. I am running out of ideas. What can I do or who can I contact to try to resolve this issue? I'd be massively grateful for anyone's help.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Follow either of these steps to fix the issue with the Active window hiding behind.

Method 1:
I suggest you to disable window by hovering over it with the mouse and check if it helps. To do so I suggest you to try the below given steps and check if it helps:

1. Press Windows key + X key and click on Control Panel.
2. Select or click Ease of Access.
3. Click or tap onEase of Access Centre.
4. Click on Make the Mouse Easier to Use was uncheck Activate Window by hovering over it with the mouse.
5. Check if issue is resolved.

Method 2:
I would suggest you to completely uninstall the touchpad driver and reinstall it. Kindly follow the below given steps.

1. Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Device Manager”.
2. In the list of devices, you should see the touchpad drivers.
3. Right click on the device and then select "Uninstall".
4. In the uninstall dialog, make sure you select the option to delete the driver package from the system. This causes the driver package installed earlier to be deleted.
5. In the Action menu of Device manager, select “Scan for Hardware changes” option. This will cause the device driver to be reinstalled. Once the driver is installed, close all windows and restart the computer.
