Windows 10: Windows always freezes after a cold startup

i have been getting freezes every single time after i startup my computer the very first time i turn it on for the day. i had to restart it a couple of times, but then its running fine for the whole day. but when i start it again on the next day its freezing again. usually it happens after a minute or so, if im still on the logon screen it wont let me type or click anything, if im already in the desktop i could notice the taskbar usually would not pop out when i hover the cursor over it, and any app i open would start to not respond. i can move my cursor when i move the mouse around, but any i

Hi all dear people,

as title says, my machine freezes upon cold startup.

This issue started occurring after installing a new video card (FE GTX 1080).

Has anybody seen this behavior? Please let me know.

1st start up Windows 10 freezes at loading screen, 2nd startup UEFI crashes at "American Trends" sign, on 3rd startup Windows 10 loads and boots as per usual.

To diagnose the issue, I suggest you to follow below troubleshooting steps and check if it resolves the issue.

Method 1: Run the System and Maintenance Troubleshooter

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with system performance and maintenance. Follow below steps:

1. Right click on Start button, select Control Panel.

2. Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.

3. Click on Troubleshooting and click on the view all
option on the left panel.

4. Run the System and Maintenance troubleshooter.

Method 3: Safe Mode with Networking

I suggest you to check if the issue occurs in Safe Mode with Networking.

Safe mode with Networking starts Windows in safe mode and includes the network drivers, services needed to access the Internet or other computers on your network.

Method 4: Perform Clean Boot



If the issue does not persists in Safe Mode, then perform a Clean Boot
to check if any third party application is causing the issue, as Clean Boot helps in eliminating software conflicts.
