Discus and support Windows and Avid in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I have an old Avid 6.5 editing program that I own.     I have an old Avid 6.5 editing program that I own. I can not afford to do the Subscription that Avid wants for all the new editing systems.I just do little documentaries on my own. I have been running it off line with 7 pro . Was wondering if there is a way to make it work on windows 10Avid is very protective of there product and it will not work on 10.Any ideas. Tried a virtual computer but could not get it to work.Thank you.

    windows xp installation and dual core am

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .

    Windows Installer v5 problem. Avid Pro Tools unable to install

    This might be something to consider:

    On Avid's website see What Operating System should I have installed for
    my version of Avid Pro Tools    .

    Looking down the list of requirements for v.2018.4 you'll see: "Intel® PC with Windows 8.1 (Standard and Pro Editions), or Windows 10 (standard or Anniversary)"

    According to this web page, version 2018.4 of Pro Tools is not supported on Windows 10 after the Anniversary Update, which is v.1607 of Windows 10. However, that page was last updated on May 24, 2018, so things may have changed. It might be worthwhile
    to ask Avid technical support if your version of Pro Tools is supported on v.1803 of Windows 10.
