    Windows and Other App/Program Warned by Bitdefender Firewall Help needed regarding...


    Hi, I need help in identifying the Windows and other App/Programs warned by Bitdefender Total Security Firewall attempting to connect to the internet. Since I am not familiar or sure regarding the apps, I clicked "Block". Can anyone in the community help determine if the apps/programs provided below that tried to connect to the internet are safe or not? If they're safe, I'll allow them through the firewall.Here are the apps/programs that I've blocked: SettingSyncHost.exepingsender.exe Firefoxtaskhostw.exerundll32.exebackgroundTaskHost.exeYourPhone.exeFileCoAuth.exeWINWORD.EXESystemSett

    Windows Firewall blocks App Store from downloading new apps

    Hi,

    Let's try to check if the app store you're referring to if it's really blocked by Windows Firewall. See these steps:

    • Open Windows Firewall from the taskbar >
      Firewall & network protection       > Allow an app through firewall.
    • A new window will show up containing the list of the apps that ca be allowed through Firewall.
    • Look for the app you want to be accessed, and make sure that the Domain, Private and Public are ticked. That would allow the app store to be accessed.

    Let us know what happens after doing the suggestion.

    Hi,

    Thank you for being a part of Windows 10.

    As an initial troubleshooting step, I would suggest you to search for BitDefender in the search next to start. If you are not able to find and if you have BitDefender CD/DVD, then I would suggest you to re-install BitDefender.

    Allow an app through Windows Firewall

    Hello,

    I request you to try the below steps:

    • Right click on Start menu icon.
    • Select Control Panel.
    • Now select Windows Firewall.
    • Select "Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall" from left hand side pane.
    • Select the app which you want to allow.
