  1. Windows Antimalware Executable takes my CPU to 100% for no reason

So basically, I open up a program (Express VPN, certain games, steam launcher, firefox) and then the Windows Anti malware executable starts going to about 15-20%, and every program on my computer will have a totally bloated CPU usage value. This continues to happen even when I close all non-essential bloated programs including the program which induces the Anti malware craziness. I have to turn off my computer in order to get it too stop.

Has anyone ever encountered something like this? It is driving me crazy. I have never had any type of virus or malware on this computer, yet Windows 10 Anti malware executable likes to utilize half of my CPU's clock cycles when ever it decides too.

  3. Antimalware Service Executable High CPU

I am experiencing high CPU usage on the Antimalware Service Executable on my Surface Pro i7 1 tb (2017). This has been going on for a couple of months. It makes my computer almost unusable. The CPU sits at 100% any time I try to use it. The CPU has
over 50% usage when nothing is being run in the foreground all the time (24 hours a day). The April update was just installed and the Antimalware Service Executable is still running at over 40% of the CPU utilization.
