Windows 10: Windows Antimalware Service Executable slowing down Firefox

Discus and support Windows Antimalware Service Executable slowing down Firefox in Windows 10 Performance & Maintenance to solve the problem; I seem to have an issue with the afore mentioned task.     Windows Antimalware Service Executable slowing down Firefox


    I seem to have an issue with the afore mentioned task. Whenever I start Firefox the task goes crazy, using about 30% of my CPU for several minutes. This is significantly more than other browsers. I have a second PC that is configured exactly the same but does not have this issue.If I disable real-time virus processing in Windows the problem goes away. I have reset Firefox and it didn't stop the problem. It's a recent problem, only affecting Firefox in the immediate past. I have also seen other people complaining about it very recently albeit no solution.

    I am still having the problem even with the latest prerelease build. The Antimalware Service Executable process is often running and taking a lot of CPU, disk and memory. The same The Antimalware Service Executable -> Windows Defender Service ...
    Too often the PC (an I7 one, 8 GB EliteBook HP) is stuck and even the response of a keyboard entry is very slow!!

    Any suggestions?

    I was having the same issue like for weeks on my HP Probook Ci5 12GB, the Antimalware Service Executable process was eating up massive CPU, DISK and RAM. After all the hard time I got searching the solution I finally landed on
