    Windows app won't install with a non-work or school username


    In preparation for Remote Desktop deprecation I have attempted to install "Windows App". I have a license for Windows 11 Professional and have more than one Win 11 Pro machine, one of them for exclusively business . I use Remote desktop nearly every day. My username *** Email address is removed for privacy *** is my username for all my computers. I am unable to install Windows App with that username and will be in trouble when Remote Desktop goes away.I have paid for the Pro license exclusively so I can remote into other Windows 11 machines. I do not expect you to leave me without that functionality.Please advi

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    We appreciate you for trying the troubleshooting steps.



    I suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.

    Step 1: Run Windows app troubleshooter.

    Refer to the below link:

    Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store - Microsoft Support

    Step 2: Run shell commands for Windows store and check if it helps.

    Follow the below steps:


    • Press Windows key + X and select
      Command prompt(Admin)       to open elevated Command prompt.

    • Type the following commands.



      powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml

    • Hit enter, the blackscreen will appear still for a couple of seconds. After a couple of second a new line saying C:\.... will appear.

    • Close Command Prompt.

    • Try to start the Windows Store again.
