Windows 10: Windows application error The instruction at 0x.... referenced memory at 0x.....

I have a worker who came to me today saying they have been getting this message for over a month now. They only get this error message when the try to open a pdf from an email. A pdf that is opened that is saved on their computer or sharded drives will not show this message. went to task manager and looked at the memory usage and it was hovering around 50%. They said they also haven't turned off or restarted their computer in a long while so i restarted the computer but still got the error message. The error message just pops up, they are able to click "ok" and still able to do what they need

I appreciate the efforts taken by you in resolving this issue. I understand you get an error when you try to launch a game. It would be great if you can share the details requested below:

• Which game are you trying to launch?
  
• Do you get a Blue screen error when you launch the game?
  
• Does the issue occur only with one particular game?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer currently? To check type: winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit Enter.
  

If you are receiving a Blue Screen error, I would suggest you to share the Minidump files with us, so that we can analyze them and get to the root cause of the issue. To share the dump files, navigate to
C:\Windows\Minidump, upload the files to OneDrive and share the OneDrive link.



Meanwhile, I would suggest you to perform a clean boot on the computer, try to launch the game and see if the game is crashing.



Performing a clean boot will start the computer with minimal set of drivers and programs, to determine whether a background program is causing the issue. Some of the Startup programs will not load after performing a clean boot on the computer. However,
that functionality will return when you reset the computer to start normally after finishing the troubleshooting.

Instruction at referenced memory error prompt

Hello, (Windows 11) so a while back I had an issue where after installing an update from windows update I was logging off to restart where an error prompt like this showed up:

"The instruction at 0x referenced memory at 0x. Something something"

It popped and closed so fast I could not read what it said in detail as my system was in the process of logging out.

Anyway, after rebooting I quickly ran SFC /scannow afterwards and it said it found corrupted system files and successfully repaired them. So far the issue seems to have been resolved and the error prompt has not showed up since.

The reason why I still worry is because this happened in a new laptop (just got it maybe a week ago.) Should I still worry? Or should I just brush it off as a one off glitch/error since SFC did say it repaired successfully?
