    Windows apps don't work after edge update on Win10


    I was having problems where my apps would not update and I'd get an error code. After a lengthy process I was able to get them to update. Then after a few weeks it happened again and many apps need updating. With the most recent update to Edge no apps will launch except for Edge. No Cortona, the search bar doesn't work, no email. I was doing some troubleshooting and a reset was suggested. I reset but it gave an error and said not all windows components could be loaded. All I have is internet access through Edge. Help!!!!!!

    Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

    When in win10:
    • Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....
    Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
    - Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

    Win10 updates

    The initial one was KB3035583 to get the Get Windows 10 app (GWX). Though that particular update is probably pages upon dozens of pages down the list by now.
