Windows 10: Windows asking for product key? Please help

Hi everyone,


i have a cracked version of windows 10 pro. However, after messing around with a few things yesterday and uninstalling some programs, it is now asking for a product key to activate windows.

I want to now go to a genuine copy.

My question is if i purchase windows 10 pro and use that product key, will everything be good for me from then on.

Or do i have to uninstall and reinstall windows.

Im not the best with all this computer stuff but developing slowely.

Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant asking for product key


So make sure that you are attempting to upgrade to the Home Single Language Edition. The "about" system settings screen will tell you if it is 32-bits or 64-bits (operating system):





Using the media creation tool, you want the matching 32-bit or 64-bit Single Language Edition:





From the Windows 10 ISO download site, it's just listed as Single Language Edition:





Doing an upgrade to the correct edition Anniversary Update should not ask for a product key.

  Did you download the ISO of the Game from the Steam?
  

It is not Windows Live Key, it’s a game product key which is required to install the game.

I suggest you to check with Steam for Product key and check if it helps.
