Windows 10: Windows Audio Service not working! - No Audio Devices Installed

Hello,I am having trouble with my audio devices: There are no audio devices installed: This error occurred after a troublesome update process:Updates weren't installing due to the same error as mentioned here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/crashes-on-boot-after-installing-kb4507453-on/45523a0e-a073-454c-a968-e3ae9de73cc3I fixed it the same way by deleting the arcsec.sys remnant. Then I updated from 20H1 to 21H1 and installed every update available, also the optionals. The audio error persisted.I already tried the following major steps:Reinstalled all audio drivers Re

AUDIO SERVICE NOT WORKING.

In that case, I suggest you follow below.

Step 1:

In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, then select it from the results.

Step 2:

Select the arrow next to Sound, video and game controllers to expand it.

Step 3:

Look for IDT High Definition Audio CODEC. If it's listed, right-click it and select Update Driver, then select Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

Step 4:

You’ll see a list of pre-installed drivers. Select High Definition Audio Device, and then select Next.

Step 5:

Restart PC

Audio services not responding - Audio randomly stopped working

Try the equivalent on your system of this (not all terms may precisely match your setup)

Note: as you may have found, a number of threads on this topic are unsolved.

You may wish to consider doing an in-place upgrade repair install if no solution is found.

Also consider the possibility of hardware failure. You could check the card is seated, cables secure.

 

Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder Services

• Additional memory cards were installed over Memorial Day weekend 2019.
• Audio Icon on taskbar shows red circle with X
• Speakers work.
• Rt Click on Start; Device Manager; sound card; Driver Tab; Update Driver.
• Audio Icon still shows red circle with X.
• Left click Audio Icon; go thru the trouble shooting instructions; "Both Windows Audio and Windows Audio End Point Builder services must be running for Audio to work correctly. At least one of these services isn't running."
• Select DETECTION DETAILS.
• Audio Endpoint: Render.
• Installed Audio Devices: This file contains the details stored in the registry for all installed audio devices. Registry log.txt.
• Then it wants me to do something with Explorer, but I use Edge.
