Windows 10: Windows-Audio service not working

Hey,I have a problem with my PC, which I already mentioned in another ticket and I thought the Windows-Audio service might be the problem, because it was shown as an error in the event viewer. So I started the Windows-Audio service on the local system account, but now the Audio isn't working, the problem isn't solved and I can't start it over another account since the password of the account used before is still filled in, but none of my accounts match the password. what do I do? Please help! Thanks

AUDIO SERVICE NOT WORKING.

Hi,

In that case, I suggest you follow below.

Step 1:

In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, then select it from the results.

Step 2:

Select the arrow next to Sound, video and game controllers to expand it.

Step 3:

Look for IDT High Definition Audio CODEC. If it's listed, right-click it and select Update Driver, then select Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

Step 4:

You’ll see a list of pre-installed drivers. Select High Definition Audio Device, and then select Next.

Step 5:

Restart PC

Let me know the results after performing the above.

After running Audio troubleshooter error: 'one or more audio service isn't running'

As you receive the error message: 'one or more audio service isn't running', this might have occurred due to the audio services.

I suggest you to restart the service, set it to automatic and check if it helps.

Step 1: Stop the Windows Audio service.

• Press Windows Key + R on the keyboard and type
  services.msc, Services window gets opened.
• Search for Windows Audio service, right click on it and click on
  Stop.
• Restart the computer.

Step 2: Start the service and set it to automatic:

• Press Windows Key + R on the keyboard and type
  services.msc, Services window gets opened.
• Search for Windows Audio service, right click on it and click on
  Properties.
• Start the service, set
  Startup type to Automatic.

Windows Audio Service Stopped Working

For that particular error message, it seems that at least one of the 2 services, Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder isn't running. You may need to check if both Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder services are running.

Follow the steps provided below:

• Right-click on the Start icon on the lower left hand corner.
  
• Look for Run and click on it.
• Type in services.msc.
• Once the Services window is up, look for Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder.
• Make sure the 2 services are running and the Startup Type must be Automatic.
