Windows 10: Windows automatic repair loop

Booted the pc yesterday to find that infinite repair loop I have read about many times. tried to repair with a repair disc and it said I need an installation disc so that's where I am now. it says none of my drives are in the selected restore points except D:\

this is terrifying, i can stand to lose C drive but my 3TB with the family photo archive located at G must survive. I fear the worst.

SOS from my laptop... what do i do? also was windows 10 since launch until crash but using my 8.1 (what i upgraded from) install disc if it matters.

As an initial step to get back into the normal Windows screen, we suggest that you perform a
Startup repair. The repair will attempt to fix any broken components/files which may prevent your device from booting properly. To do this, follow the steps below:

• On theAutomatic Repair screen, select Advanced options.
• Select Troubleshoot.
• Select Advanced options.
• Select Startup Repair.

Here are the steps I generally recommend to fix automatic repair boot loops:

Use Check Disk Utility

Fix Boot and Rebuild BCD via Command Prompt

Restore Windows Registry

Delete the Problematic File

Disable Automatic Startup Repair

Check Device Partition and OsdevicePartition

Perform Refresh or Reset Your PC
