Windows 10: Windows Automatically Adds Unwanted Keyboard Layout

Hello,I live in Canada and am using the English Canada languange and the same keyboard layout on Windows 11 24H2. However, Windows keeps automatically adding the English US keyboard layout randomly, even after I remove it from the Language & Region settings. It happens vice versa — when using only English US, the Canadian English layout is randomly re-added without permission. The removed layout returns unpredictably, often after reboots or updates. This disrupts workflow and creates confusion when switching input methods. Please advice a way to permanently disable automatic re-addi

One of the possible reasons that this issue occurs is due to corrupted system files. To help you resolve this issue, we suggest you to disable automatic keyboard layout change by following these steps:

• Right-click the Start button then select Control Panel.
• Change the View by option on the top-right to Large icons.
• Click on Language, and select Advance Settings.
• Under Switching input methods, uncheck Let me set a different input method for each app window.

Start your PC in safe mode. Once in Safe Mode, try to remove unwanted keyboard layout.
