Windows automatically choosing to use notepad to display images

When I open images on my browser or files, the notepad application instantly opens and shows me said images in code format. This, of course, makes it indecipherable. I would like to have a way of opening my images using the Photos application instead of Notepad

    :)

  4. Windows automatically choosing to use notepad to display images

Change Notepad as my primary image editor

    Hi Charlie

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I followed your instructions, got to default apps, but found no means of choosing defaults by file type. I was able to choose a Photo Viewer (paint) as my default app, but when I tried to open several image files, Notepad held onto the primary position.

Any other suggestion? When I open or modify an image anywhere on the computer, Notepad kidnaps the image.

In case it matters, my computer operates on Windows 10.

    Regards,

    Stanton
