Windows 10: Windows backgrounds dont work in tablet mode

Hi, the background images of my windows innormal mode look like this:

However in tablet mode all backgrounds look like this:

Only covering half the screen


I have tried many diffrent pictures and all options like "fill", "strecht" and "center".

I am using a HP Spectre x360

Tablet Mode Background

Hi,

Do you mean that you when you change from normal to tablet mode, your back ground changes to grey?

If that is the case, in the tablet mode, to change the background, follow the below steps.

1. Press Windows key + I key > Settings.

2. Settings >Personalization >Background > Preview > set the "background" to picture.

Tablet mode not working in Windows 10.

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to download and install any pending updates that needs to be installed on the computer through Windows update and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

As a work around, I suggest you to try to switch it on by following the below steps:

1. Select the horizontal stripes icon (All Apps) on the bottom left corner of the screen.

2. Select Settings on the menu.

3. Go to System and then click on Tablet Mode.

4. Turn the option ON.

5. Close the window.

Background in tablet mode not working

So my tablet (surface go) is having an issue with the background because when I switch to tablet mode it is showing a blank screen and when I switch to desktop mode it works fine, I tried turning the transparency off and it's not working please help
