Windows 10: Windows Blue screen of death w/ constant reset

Hello! I've been experiencing issues with Windows far too many times, but this seems to be the most frustrating.


My brother was playing games last night and out of nowhere the computer just turned off and turned back on. He was met with the blue screen of death, and the computer kept resetting itself. Every couple times, it would change the error code. At first, it would say, "critical process died," before it would start a loop of turning on and off with the same error. Then, it would show up as, "page fault in nonpaged area," reset a couple more times, then just sit on a black screen.

I can't get it to go into advanced boot options, no matter what I press (and it only went into the advanced boot options ONLY ONCE on its own, and that was yesterday when we tried getting it to work shortly after this all started.) Also, at one point when we were trying to fix it, it actually loaded up windows and my account, and after i signed in, it completely shut down and restarted again. It was working for about 3 seconds.

However, F4, F10, F11, shift, whatever. It just won't work. I've tried turning it off 3-5 times whilst holding the power button during the time that windows is loading. Nothing. I can't get into advanced boot options to do whatever I want, and I can't access the actual computer to update drivers, access boot options, reset windows, etc...

I've had far too many issues with Windows across the past couple years that I've been gaming and consistently using a PC, but this has probably been the most annoying, considering I can't do a single thing.

Please don't send generic troubleshooting or links. I've tried everything, and I tried following the troubleshooting links on the "Frequently Asked Questions," and "issues." I've also receded my physical RAM in hopes to fix it. Again, nothing.

Thank you in advance, but please don't send the generic links for troubleshooting.

P.S. Yes, I have a USB Flash Drive with a clean installation of Windows on it, and I even redownloaded it.

Try the following methods and check if it helps:

Method 1:

Step 1: Start the computer in Safe mode.

Please refer to the below link to start the computer in Safe mode and check if it fixes the issue:

Note: The steps for Windows 8.1 applies to Windows 10.

If the issue is not occurring in Safe mode then, place the computer in a Clean Boot and check.

Step 2: Perform a Clean Boot and find out which application/service is causing this issue.

A clean boot helps to eliminate software conflicts and to determine what is causing the problem. Perform a clean boot on the computer by following the steps given in the link:

If the issue persists then follow the below method.

Method 2:

I suggest you to update the Display adapters driver from the Device Manager.

Follow the below steps:

• Right click on Start button and click on Device Manager.
• Select the Graphic driver from the list by extending Display adapters.
• Right click on the Graphic driver and click on Update driver Software.

If the issue persists then, I would recommend you to download and install the latest video driver from the manufacturer and check if it works.
