  1. Windows Boot Manager priority over HDD?

I might've let the Windows Boot Manager as the second option by mistake, over my HDD, when reinstalling my Windows. Is there anything bad that can happen to my Windows Setup? I use the Manager to open the PC as well. Can there be anything bad that can happen if I run the setup this way? The thing is, I started to format my HDD in the Windows Setup and I am afraid to close the setup now. What should I do?

  2. HDD in a HDD caddy is not showing up in the disk management

    Hi,

To assist you better, I would like to ask some questions:

    • How are you connecting the HDD Caddy?
    • What is the make and model of your computer?

If you are connecting the device using USB, I suggest you to check if other USB devices are recognized as USB devices or Other device. If it is displaying as other device, then the issue might be with the USB port. So, I suggest you to update the USB drivers
    by following the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + X, select Device Manager.
    • Expand Universal Serial Bus Controller.
    • Right click on the drive, select Update Driver Software and follow the on-screen prompts.

Keep us posted on the status for further assistance.

    Windows boot manager

Hello, I've recently bought an m2 SSD, besides my HDD that I've had in my laptop, so that I can reinstall my Windows 10 on the SSD. The problem is that after I reinstalled it, in my BIOS, at the boot priority, the HDD is noted as "Windows Boot manager",
and if I put the SSD as the first priority, an error occurs telling me that I have to reboot and select proper boot device. What can I do?

  4. Windows Boot Manager priority over HDD?

    Windows Boot Manager

I recently installed a Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe drive to replace my current 860 EVO boot drive. I used the Samsung Data Migration tool to clone the boot drive and then restarted the PC. After numerous failed attempts to reboot, I noticed that there were
now two Windows Boot Managers in the UEFI boot priority list. Tried rearranging them, but it still would not boot. Ultimately, I removed the 970 EVO Plus and eventually got it to boot into Windows with the 860 EVO SSD. However, I still have the two Windows
Boot Managers in the UEFI boot priority list.

What might have caused this and how do I remove one of the Boot Managers?
