Windows 10: Windows Boot Manager with black screen

Dear all,on a brand-new HP x360 laptop 15-eb1829nz 11th gen. Intel with Win 11 pre-installed, I shrank the partition with the pre-installed windows and created a new partition where I performed a clean install of Win 11.Both installations are working fine, and the Windows Boot Manager basically does what it is supposed to I can choose which windows installation to start, but it shows a black screen. From another similiar laptop, I could figure out that pressing Enter leads to boot the default installation and pressing arrow-down and then enter leads to booting the second, non-default insta

Sounds like the old... windows black screen of death.

Computer boots to windows log on,have no password here.After a minute on log on it go to a black screen,stays there forever. I can get to Task Manager from black Screen,lost on what to do next. Just want my Windows 10 back, not sure what caused this problem. Any Suggestion on what my next step should be?*Sad

So this is not a BSOD ? Have a Windows 10 disc or USB Flash Drive made ? How are you getting to task manager Ctrl.+Alt+Del ? Any cursor on screen ?
