Windows 10: Windows breaks audio when audio enhancements are toggled

This is a bit of a long one so I will try to explain as best I can.I have recently built and entirely new computer a few months ago and with it I have a ROG Strix B550-A Gaming motherboard. For the first month or so of using the computer I've noticed no real issues with audio whatsoever, and I'm a heavy user of mixers and surround effects. But during that time, I was using a Corsair wireless headset, via USB dongle, and used the Corsair software for audio enhancements.It wasn't until I changed headphones to a wired one and tried using the onboard audio device that I noticed that I was unable t

Audio Enhancements

One step that we could try is to manually re-install the Audio Enhancement, and see if it helps. First, go to HP's website and download the latest Audio Enhancement installer (IDT) and save it to your Downloads folder. Once done, follow the remaining steps
below:

• Search for Control Panel via Cortana search and hit the
  Enter key.
• Open the Device Manager and click Sound, Video and Game controllers.
• Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall.
• Restart your PC.
• Once your PC restarts, it should automatically load all audio driver. Let it complete the process.
• Go to the Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select
  Run as administrator.

Once complete, check if you have the enhancements back and let us know the outcome.

Problem Fixing:
If you have different problem on audio enhancers or APO Driver, apply the following fix first:
Run cmd as administrator, type:
Code: FOR %1 IN (*.DLL) DO REGSVR32 /S %1[/quote] If you are running on Windows x64, type the above code first then the below code:
Code: cd /d c:\windows\syswow64 FOR %1 IN (*.DLL) DO REGSVR32 /S %1[/quote]

 

DFX Audio Enhancer

It seems that there is incompatibility between DFX Audio Enhancer 12 and the Creator's Update.

We strongly suggest contacting DFX Audio Enhancer 12's developers for this issue to be resolved.

Otherwise, we need to wait for future update that will fix the compatibility issue between DFX Audio Enhancer 12 and the Creator's Update.
