Windows 10: Windows broken on tablets after screen orientation change

This happens in tablet and non tablet mode.

1. Open some metro app in fullscreen mode having tablet in horizontal mode
2. turn tablet around by 90°
3. open for example Edge, now Edge is bugged and edges have 5px border

In tablet mode this results in more problems like apps using 50% of the screen and not 100%.

Any way to fix this?

auto screen orientation

Hi,

After a windows update my linx 10 tablet no longer changes the screen orientation automaticly

Does anyone know how I can fix this ?

Windows 10 Tablet- Screen Rotation only works while booting and when accelerometer is read out

Hi,

Rotation lock option is there, but is turned off

Also the service was running, but its startup was set to manual(trigger). I have changed it to automatic (trigger started), but that changed nothing.

It really looks like windows just doesnt update the values from the orientation-sensor after boot, exempt when I open an app that reads the sensor output.

Example:

• I hold the tablet in Potrait Orientation and turn it on, Windows now displays the screen in portrait-orientation.
• I now hold the tablet in landcsape, the screen orientation doesn´t change
• In the display-settings, I activate rotation lock and set the screen to landscape, the screen is now displayed in landscape.
• I deactivate rotation-lock, windows turns the screen back to portrait-orientation.

So it seems like a) Windows just stores the sensor-readout from boot and doesn´t update it anymore or b) it just shuts down the sensor;

unless i directly read out the sensor-data with an app like aida64(see first screenshot).

At the moment the only way to stop this is to install windows fresh or reset it and prevent windows update from installing any updates. After W-Updates get installed and the tablet reboots, the rotation stops working.

But this is not a solution for me, because a windows-system is very vulnerable in the internet without it´s updates.
