Windows 10: Windows BSOD - VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE NVIDIA

Hello,


I've had problems with frequent BSOD's VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE while playing games and sometimes even idle on my RTX 2080. When I plug my monitor into my motherboard


What I've tried:

• Testing temperatures, everything is normal with gpu/cpu not exceeding 60 celcius.
• Running Window's Memory Test no problems
• Running chkdsk and sfc /scannow
• Full DDU and reinstalling video drivers.
• Updating drivers with Driver Easy. Some I couldn't find such as Intel Watchdog Timer Driver.
• Stopped OC'ing
• Reinstalling Windows 10

Nvidia 9500GT Video_TDR_Failure (NVLDDMKM.SYS)

I have windows 10 1511 x64.

I have a Nvidia GeForce 9500GT

Almost every 30 minutes the system goes to BSOD , with the message: Video_TDR_Failure (NVLDDMKM.SYS)

Sometimes the system can't even start but goes directly to BSOD.

I have the latest drivers from nvidia.

With the same drivers on Windows 7 , or Windows 8.1 everything is OK.

How can i fix this problem ?

NMI_Hardware_Failure BSoD and Video_TDR_Failure (nvlddmkm.sys) BSoD

After playing some games, this BSoD arrived. Is there a way to fix it?

NMI_Hardware_Failure when using an integrated graphics card (Intel Core i3-5005U CPU @ 2.00GHz x4)

Video_TDR_Failure (nvlddmkm.sys) when using NVidia GeForce 920M

 

BSOD: VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (nvlddmkm.sys) when waking up from sleep


Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
   • Double click the executable to open it
   • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

The crashes 0x116(VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE) are graphical related. This means the drivers of the GPU stopped responding, but Windows couldn't get the drivers to react again within a certain time amount. This could be due to dust, improper seated card, damaged card, drivers, power problem, related software, overheating, etc.
Please uninstall everything of Nvidia using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from Nvidia. Be sure the clean install box is checked and only install the Graphics driver and the PhysX driver.
