Windows 10: Windows BSOD with various stop codes

I have run into several BSODs in the past month, with stop codes PAD_POOL_CALLER, DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE and more. The frequency of the BSODs is random -- sometimes I see two BSODs within 48 hours, sometimes in weeks or even months. I have owned the computer for a bit more than a year. I have read several similar posts on this forum and followed some steps to diagnose this issue, including checking system files, upgrading all drivers and doing a full memory check with MemTest86, but there is either nothing wrong or they did not resolve the issue. I have tried to look

According to Microsoft, Vista and later usually displays this BSOD instead:

STOP: 0x00000124 WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR

Bug Check 0x124 WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR - Windows drivers

According to Microsoft, the Vista and later equivalent of STOP: 0x0000009C MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION is:

STOP: 0x00000124 WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR

Hi Tiredbedhead,

many different BSOD codes means some hardware problems.

Please run Windows memory diagnostic in wide mode as a first step.

 

Unstable pc, various BSOD

on the BSOD it will say STOP: reason for stoppage. Under it you will find 0X000..... codes. The first one is usually sufficient*Wink
