Windows 10: Windows built-in camera no longer working after using external camera

Hello. I was using a logitech C615 external camera and using the built in "camera" app to record with it. Now that I'm finished, I can't get the built in camera to reappear, it just shows a gray background with a camera with a cross through it. I've tried a number of solutions and I'm really quite lost. I'm not sure why there isn't an easier way to manage the cameras used but oh well.


Computer specs: YOGA 710-11ISK, 64bit operating system, Windows 10

Windows Camera app no longer works


On my ASUS G74SX-3DE Notebook, Windows Camera no longer works after the app update(s) recently.

It would start up with:




I have no idea who makes the camera for the device and ASUS doesn't provide Windows 10 drivers except the camera works fine with other apps.

Windows installs a driver with the device listed as:
USB2.0 UVC 1M WebCam
in device manager with driver version 10.0.10240.16384 and the date

USB\VID_13D3&PID_5134&MI_00
USB\VID_13D3&PID_5134&REV_0725&MI_00

is the device ID's

 

Camera not working with Skype

Well I can't see one!!!

If I plug in an external USB camera then a camera heading appears in Device Manager and the USB camera is listed. Remove the USB camera and the entire camera section disappears

Cant remember if I said but,for hte avoidance of doubt, the Internal Lenovo camera appears as a selectable camera in Skype, its just that when selected it does not work (black screen)

 

built in camera is not working

My built in camera is not working , screen shows error code 0xa00f4244 no cameras are attached but when i connect external camera it works. i updated my windows but still my camera is not working. what to do now please help me to resolve this problem.
