I need help setting up a VPN server

    Hey guys!

I have a Synology NAS that has the ability to act as a VPN server. I was able to successfully enable and configure the VPN server. I'm using Windows 10 as the client. Thus far, I've tried PPTP and L2TP. I was able to establish a connection over the local area network, but I haven't been able to get it to work over the internet. I have Bright House Networks as my ISP. I was able to log into the router and configure the required port forwarding settings. But still no luck.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it!

    Cheers,

    grecinos

  3. Remote access to my (local) server's folders

I am running a simple local fileserver. Windows based.

I would like to access (load, save, modify) what's on this server when I am away on business trips. Laptop -- internet -- router - server

What is the best way to do this? Setup WebDAV or ftp-server or something else? I would prefer direct access, ie. being able to load/save from an application rather than using ftp as a separate step.

Internet Access through a Microsoft Windows Server 2012 VPN

    Hi all

How can I enable internet access via my MS Windows Server 2012 VPN?

I have successfully enabled my VPN (L2TP) to give me a access to a network with application servers on, but would like to extend access to open internet via this network and VPN connection? A number of my clients provide HTTP and VPN-out access from their
networks but block a number of ports (POP3, FTP, SMTP, etc.).

    What are the steps to

    1) Enable the VPN to provide pass-through to the VPN servers internet access?

    2) Enable this on Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 VPN clients who only have VPN-out access (no direct internet access)?

    Thanks

    Joe
