windows camera will not save pictures

The camera app on my Windows 11 Pro v 22.h2 computer will not save pictures. If I try to save a shot, I get a 0xA00F425F error. I searched for how to fix the problem, and everyone talks about going to settings in the camera app, choosing "related settings" and then changing the location where pictures get saved. Sounds good, but there is no setting under related settings on my camera app. Just choose whether camera can use location info and change privacy settings. This is a desktop computer, so there is no built-in camera, so I have an external web cam that appears to work perfectly. The prob

upload pictures and saving from camera

    Hi,

How are you trying to upload the Photos? Are you using any application software for uploading the photos?

What exactly happens when you try to upload the Photos? Do you receive any error message?

Do you have webcam on your computer? If so, are you using Camera app to click Photos?

All pictures, videos, and panoramas you take with the Camera app are saved to your camera roll. There are different ways you can look at your camera roll.

    • Camera app: Will be saved i Camera roll folder.

    • Photos app: Go to the Pictures library, and then to the
      Camera roll folder.

    • File Explorer: Go to the Pictures folder, and then to the
      Camera roll folder.
Please reply us with the required information to assist you further.

    c3-00 camera not saving picture

    Hi hatemzahran,

    Try the suggestions below:

    • Verify where the pictures are saved when taking a picture. If it's in a memory card, verify that there is enough space.
    • Change the memory used to save the pictures. If it's the memory card, change it to the C: memory.
    • If when changing the preference back to the memory card it still shows the error, remove the memory card and reinsert it.
    • If that doesn't work, save the files available on the memory card in a PC and format the memory card (the error may be related to corrupted files).

When I take a photo of myself with my laptop camera, what directory is it placed in?

By default, your pictures should appear in your Pictures\Camera Roll folder. If they aren't there, follow these steps to figure out where they are being saved:

    1. Take a picture with the camera app.
    2. Click the thumbnail of the picture you just took at the bottom right of the app.
    3. When the photo viewer opens, click the three dots (...) at the top right and select "File Info".

A panel will then appear and it will tell you the directory where your picture is located.

If you created your account picture by going to your account settings and then selecting "create your picture -> camera", then the picture will not have been stored in your camera roll. It will be located in %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\AccountPictures as mentioned by @kicken.
