Windows 10: Windows cannot access \\<deviceName> Error code: 0x80070035

Hi,
My home network has 4 laptops, a desktop PC and a NAS drive. Each PC accesses the NAS using "Mapped Network Drives" by device name.

I had to change my router, which in turn has changed the IP addresses of all devices on the network, including the NAS.

Two laptops and the desktop PC were all able to continue accessing the NAS drive, the device name was automatically updated to the new IP address for the NAS. However, two laptops are no longer able to access the NAS.

Opening Windows Explorer on one of the laptops, the NAS device is shown in the Network section of the side panel and the NAS can be pinged from the laptop using the IP address or the deviceName. However, when I try to create a Mapped Drive I get the error:
Windows cannot access \\<deviceName
Error code: 0x80070035

Why can't the two laptops access the NAS by deviceName or IP address?


How can this be fixed?

Hi,
I am unable to access one of three computers on my local network via File Explorer
I can access the other two and I can access a network local external drive.
The error is :
error code 0x80070035 the network path was not found
This expands into:
one or more network protocols are missing on this computer
windows sockets registry entries required for netork connectivity are missing
The post from SimBy in Network Protocols says to disable netbios over TCP/IP.

Can't access computers on local network error code: 0x80070035

Microsoft allows computers with Microsoft Windows operating systems and sharing the same network to have access to the files and data on each other's computer without cables. But the initiating user might see the message saying
that Error code: 0x80070035. I suggest you to follow the below steps, and check if that helps.



Make sure your drive is shared.

To do that,

1. Right-click on the drive located on the target computer that you attempt visiting, for example, C: drive, and select Properties.
   
2. Click on Sharing tab and check if the network path says Not Shared.
   
3. If it's not shared, click Advanced Sharing tab.
   
4. Mark the Share this folder check box and make sure that the Share name is typed correctly.
   
5. Click Apply and OK to save the changes.
   
6. Finally, press Windows key + R, type the name of the shared folder, and press Enter.

Windows cannot access \\PC NAME error code 0x80070035

Hi

Previously I had error 0x8004005 then I had done all the steps mentioned in the article Error 0x80004005 when attempting to access Network share and
then it started showing the error code 0x80070035.

Both PC and Laptop are running on Windows 10 Pro with the latest updates. My PC can access the laptop but the laptop cannot access PC.

Both can access the internet connection PC via ethernet and PC via wi-fi.
