Hello All!I hope you're doing good. I have Active Directory set-up on Windows Server 2019 and a NAS on a separate server with SMB shares, authenticated using Active directory. As long as the systems Joined in the Domain are connected to the network, they are able to access the shared drives and roaming profiles without any hassle.When we disconnect a system from the network for any random purpose, the offline files stay intact most of the times. However when we reconnect the system to the network after some time, all the network connected drives and the Redirected folders documents, pic

We would suggest you to try accessing the shared folder using the path and see if that helps. Follow the steps mentioned below:

Press Windows key + R, to open Run dialog box.

Type \\shared folder path and click on OK.

However, you may try providing permissions to the folder where the files are saved and see if you are able to access the files. Refer the steps mentioned below:

Navigate to the location on the PC through which the files are shared.

Right click on the folder and select Properties.

Click on Sharing tab, and click on Advanced Sharing.

Now, select the checkbox for Share this folder.

Click on Permissions, select the check box for Allow Full Control.

Click on OK (Twice).

If an IT Administrator manages the folder, then you may have to get in touch with the administrator to reset or grant permissions to access the file.

-The file may be blocked by Windows.

-Your antivirus software may be blocking the file.

Method 1: Check the permission of the file or folder

-Right-click the file or folder, and then select Properties.

-Select the Security tab.

-Select Edit, and then select to check the check boxes for the permissions that you need, and then select OK. (The screenshot for this step is listed below).

cannot access file/or permissions

I have a file i need to run on Windows 7 Home Premium. I get the error message saying "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

So I right click and choose Properties to access the permissions but I cannot. In the Security tab I get a message saying, " You do not have permission to view or edit this objects permission settings.".

Next I boot into the Windows 7 Hidden Administrator Mode - and even with this I get all the same error messages.

Please help me as I really need to run This file.
