Windows 10: "Windows cannot find..." after recent June Update

After updating my PC I decided I wanted to play some games which are located on my SSD. After trying to open them from the desktop, I get the below error. I then tried to go directly to where the ".exe" file is and use that. Same error. Clearly the file is right there and I can see it and interact with it however it acts as if it does not exist. It recognizes my SSD and everything.




Now, some applications do work which is even more perplexing. I did a system restore to a previous before one of these vile updates and one application worked that previously did not, while others continued to post the same error. At this point I am at a lost and hope someone can help.


I have tried the following:

1. System restore

2. Restarted the PC

3. Unplugged and replugged in the SSD

4. Checked for an update to my SSD driver there was none

DirectX June Update

Microsoft has released an updated version of DirectX for June, although it isn’t clear whether the update is just for DirectX 9.0c or for DirectX 10 on Vista as well. Regardless of this, it is still recommended that Vista users update their systems because Vista will benefit from any DirectX 9.0c fixes when playing DirectX 9 games. The web installer is only for Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 (both 32-bit and 64-bit versions), whilst the redistributable version will also work with Vista. FIXED!! Windows 7 sp1 never ends searching for updates

They made it part of the WU client then, or it's two different things doing the same. Too bad you can't download it separately.

 

Incomplete taskbar after the recent update (June 2017)

Based on the screenshot that you have provided us, the last update that you had was the one that was released last May 5, 2017. The latest update for Windows 10 version 1703 was released last May 26, 2017. New Dynamic, Security, and Cumulative updates have
been released since May 22, 2017. We suggest that you check for new updates or download the most recent updates from this website:
